• We Go BAREFOOT In The ARENA This means we won’t fall prey to the kind of political correctness that has us afraid to address and process complex issues. In THIS arena, we will gift one another the benefit of the doubt because we share a common mission. Our work is complex and ARENA Leaders is a space safe for us to express, agree, and sometimes disagree. You won’t be cut off, “unfriended,” or dragged online. We will engage in this work and keep it real, raw, relevant, and respectful.  
• We Walk The Talk: Where others teach unproven theory or rely on outdated experience - we're mission-driven school leaders with everyday practical experience.  We’re in our individual arena daily with our fingers firmly on the pulse of the work. 
• Access To Expertise: Tap into our nearly 30 years of experience in education and a proven track record of growing leaders who create cultures that result in improved learning results in schools across all demographics and a broad range of the socioeconomic spectrum.
• Look Over Our Shoulder: Members tell us they learn a lot from each other as we 'do our thing' - the ARENA is a living 'case study', and we're transparent in showing behind the scenes of our own leadership practice.
• No BS Allowed: We’re not into overblown hype, magic bullet solutions or jumping on the latest shiny new initiative. Just straight-talking, honest, proven, and practical advice. No B.S., no tricks, no magic.

 The ARENA Leadership Membership brings together a community of mission-driven elementary leaders to build capacity and radically transform their leadership skills and mindset, so we can build a school culture of equity and excellence while navigating a rapidly changing and uncertain world.

The name, ARENA Leadership was inspired by a speech given by President Teddy Roosevelt in 1910. The title of the speech was Citizen In A Republic. Page 7 of his 35-page speech contains the notable passage known as:

Elementary leader, you spend every day standing ALONE in the ARENA

The ARENA Leadership Membership is a community of elementary leaders who live in the arena, for these are the men and women who wear your shoes, walk your path, and carry the same blessed burden. You will grow better, stronger, and faster with others on the same journey.

You're an elementary school leader with no shortage of passion who's tired of hearing excuse after excuse about why some students can't learn at high-levels. You're ready to take meaningful, tangible, and impactful next steps toward building a culture of Learning For ALL. You want to improve your leadership skills and mindset so you can support your teachers in delivering a world-class educational experience to all students.

• an elementary school leader of "THAT School" charged with disrupting repeated patterns of cycled failure, shifting the paradigm of low expectations and the persistent negative narrative that have become your school's identity, and you know that the right shifts in school culture will create lead to a transformation in student learning results.  (btw, if I have to explain what THAT School means, you're not at THAT School :-)
